One-time batch ingestion of the K-Dense scientific-agent-skills collection. Rather than continue surfacing K-Dense skills one or two at a time under the ≤5/run soft cap (the Deferred queue had grown a long K-Dense backlog), this run ingests the whole life-science-relevant subset in a single auditable pass and switches the K-Dense source to diff-only mode for future runs. The collection has 143 skills; 69 are life-science-relevant and are now catalogued (51 new pages + 18 existing K-Dense pages repaired). The remaining ~74 are general-purpose (quantum computing, materials science, generic ML/stats/viz, office-document and web-search tooling, infra) and are out of scope — enumerated with reasons in scripts/kdense_category_map.yaml so future runs don’t re-evaluate them. Generated pages are schema-accurate but intentionally lean (built from each skill’s SKILL.md front-matter via scripts/ingest_kdense.py); subsequent daily runs enrich them. Multi-category entries were previously duplicated as full blocks into every named category file. That hit the action’s 600-second wall on expansion runs (each pan-life-sciences entry cost ~7 file writes plus drift detection) and forced an artificial “primary category” choice for genuinely cross-cutting tools like PubMed.
Refactored to a single source of truth:
catalog/entries.mdnow holds every entry’s full content block, alphabetically.- Each
catalog/<area>.mdis a card-based index: brief summary per entry tagged with that category, linking back toentries.md. - The
Categoriesfield is a tag list (comma-separated), with the literal valueAllallowed for tools applicable across every life-science domain. No notion of a “primary” category. - Drift detection at run-start is no longer needed — single source of truth, no drift possible.
- Updates to a tool’s pricing/availability/etc. are one write to
entries.md. Card edits in indices are only needed when the card’s surface text (name, type, supplier, availability, one-line summary) changes.
This refactor was performed locally rather than by the agent because it’s a substantial content migration and the agent’s per-run timeouts made it unsafe to run there. AGENT.md was rewritten in the same change to match the new storage model.
